Third annual Winter Fest celebrated

The third annual Winter Fest celebration was held December 6. The event drew students, faculty and staff to participate in horse-drawn carriage rides, an indoor community craft fair, illuminated ice sculptures and photo opportunities, with food vendors offering culinary options and sweet treats.

The event concluded with the Holiday Vespers Concert in Cole Memorial Chapel, where the Wheaton Chorale and Chamber singers performed songs from varied cultures, under the direction of Assistant Professor Alexandra Lutkevich.

Congratulations to this year’s winners of the Winter Fest Cookie Contest. First place went to Mark Lin, a business intelligence analyst in ITS, followed by Toriana Roe ’27 in second place and Kathleen Rastenski ’27 in third. The cookie created by Gwyneth Gunn ’27 was voted as the crowd favorite. Gwenyth will collaborate with Mark Hesslebarth of Aramark to serve her cookie on campus next semester.

The college continued its practice of collecting non-perishable food items, hats, mittens and scarves to share with the Norton Cupboard of Kindness. The event was sponsored by Arts at Wheaton and the Office of the President.
