Updates regarding campus COVID-19 protocols

Dear Wheaton Community,

As we prepare to flip the calendar to another month, we wanted to send a few quick updates regarding our campus COVID-19 protocols.  Please take a moment to review the information below.

Testing

All community members will continue to be required to test once weekly until further notice.  Starting on April 4, 2022, the Testing Center will be open two days a week. Appointments should be scheduled in advance in the CoVerified App. Testing appointments are available Mondays and Thursdays from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm (please note the testing center is closed between 12 pm and 1 pm).

Mask Policy

The college will continue to require masks through the end of the academic year for classroom and academic spaces while faculty-led pedagogical work is in session, the Testing Center, the Counseling Center, and Norton Medical Center.

Event Protocols

Effective April 7, 2022, event capacities will return to pre-pandemic numbers. Outdoor events are still encouraged whenever possible. Indoor event spaces will return to full capacity and must adhere to any other relevant policies and protocols.

Booster Requirement

All community members are required to provide proof of the first booster COVID-19 vaccine. If you have become eligible after the deadline of February 1, 2022, please be sure to submit your CDC vaccination card to the appropriate office on campus.  For students, vaccine cards should be submitted to [email protected].  For employees, vaccine cards should be uploaded through Window on insideWheaton. Failure to comply with this requirement will result in additional outreach from the institution.

Please contact [email protected] with any questions or concerns.  We look forward to seeing you at the many end of the year events coming up in the next month and a half.

On behalf of the COVID-19 Task Force,

Zachary Irish
Associate Vice President for Student Affairs and Chair of the COVID-19 Task Force
