Trustee Scholar Michelle Lipkin ’12

This summer, Trustee Scholar Michelle Lipkin ’12 assisted researchers in the Developmental Biopsychiatry Research Program at McLean Hospital.  A psychology major at Wheaton College, this opportunity allowed Michelle to build on her coursework and experience what a career in research or clinical work is really like.  Reflecting on her internship, Michelle says that the experience was not only educational, but also allowed her to refine her future career goals.  She writes, “It was wonderful to be able to learn what is truly involved in psychological research.  Coming out of the experience, I believe that when I start my career I will want to be associated with an institution such as a hospital or a university, both interactive environments, as opposed to going to work in more of a solitary setting.”
