Stephanie Antetomaso ’12, Norton, MA
This past summer, Balfour Scholar Stephanie Antetomaso ’12, a Russian studies and linguistics double major, assisted Wheaton College Professor Tom Armstrong in his research in Norton, Mass. Stephanie writes, “We worked to create a speech segmentation program that received a continuous signal as an input, ran an algorithm to calculate areas of high and low entropy and used these calculations to break the continuous audio into discrete parts.”
