Kristin Lang ‘12, Pittsburgh, PA
Trustee Scholar Kristin Lang ‘12 interned at the John G. Rangos Research Center of Children’s Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA. Kristin is majoring in Biology and minoring in Hispanic Studies. She writes, “This summer I was fortunate to be able to work at the Rangos Research Center in a Hematology/Oncology lab doing cancer research. We used different types of human cancer cells to try to determine the manner in which tumors are able to recruit or “make” blood vessels in order to proliferate and become malignant.”
