Balfour Scholar Jessica Smith ‘12 interned at the Wheaton College Biology Department in Norton, MA. Jessica is majoring in Biology and minoring in Chemistry. She writes, “I used my Balfour Scholar stipend this summer doing research with Professor Shawn McCafferty in the Wheaton Biology Department. This was part of a continuing project investigating the variability of non-coding sequences of the terrapin genome.”
