“Reading (and Writing) Toni Morrison’s HOME”

In this talk, Professor Christian will discuss Toni Morrison’s recent novel Home. Building from the ways that Home positions readers to experience representations of the individual and collective challenges facing African Americans throughout the twentieth century. Professor Christian will consider Frank Money, the novel’s protagonist, as a convention that Morrison employs to collapse the binary between reader and writer.

Associate Professor of English Shawn Christian presents the next Faculty Lunch Talk on Tuesday, March 18, 2014 at 12:30 pm in President’s Dining Room.  All are welcome to attend.
