Fall faculty lunch talks to begin in October.

Gen Liang, Assistant Professor of History, kicks off this semester’s lunch talks on Wednesday, October 6. His topic is “Narrating the Parallel Histories of Western Europe and the Middle East, 400-1000: An Experimental Approach.”  Liang, who studied Arabic at the French Institute for Arabic Studies at Damascus in Syria, has among his research interests early modern Spain, the late Roman Empire, Germanic and Arab invasions, and the emergence of Germanic kingdoms and the Arab empire.
