“The New England Renaissance Conference at Wheaton College: Scholarship and Pedagogy at Work”

The exhibition “The Art of Intellectual Community: Early Modern Objects and Pedagogy” and the New England Renaissance Conference on “Expanding Relations: Families in the Renaissance” are projects that contribute to scholarship and service to the profession.  Touba Ghadessi and Yuen-Gen Liang have also organized these events in order to enhance specific and innovative pedagogical goals in their teaching this semester, including engaging students directly with expert research, professionalizing students in a conference setting, and creating a mock-conference forum for students to model presentations based on their own work.
Come to this lunch talk on Wednesday, November 16, 2011 to find out more.  Faculty Lunch Talks begin at 12:30 p.m. and are held in President’s Dining Room.
