Why I’m Serving on the Alumni Board of Directors:
As a longtime volunteer, beginning with college fair representative and interviewer of prospective students, to class secretary, I felt like the Alumni Board was a great next step to be involved more deeply and use my skills to benefit Wheaton. I’m excited to be a bridge between alumni, especially in the decades near my graduation date, and Wheaton, and to increase alumni engagement, and through that, enrich Wheaton and the experiences of past, current and future students.
Wheaton Influence:
My time at Wheaton gave me many leadership opportunities, skills and confidence which continue to serve me. I began to be comfortable speaking out, leading others, and shaping the culture through my involvement. Wheaton will always have a place in my heart, as being there also taught me the value of community, of place, and of lifelong learning.
Fun Fact:
I am a collector, especially of midcentury pottery, vintage dishes and linens, and houseplants.
