Professional Background:
After graduating from Wheaton College in 2019, Caitly began her professional career in journalism with hopes of utilizing the news platform to support and bring awareness to the people and programs sustaining our communities. Caitly worked for national and local news in New York City with CBS This Morning and PIX11. At the end of 2020, Caitly transitioned from the journalism industry into the nonprofit sector. Caitly first engaged with a nonprofit as a volunteer participant with Fresh Youth Initiatives (FYI) back in 2008. Since then she’s always known that her purpose in life is to serve communities. 

Through her role as an Academic and Career Counselor for Northern Manhattan Improvement Corporation’s (NMIC) she helped youth in need of educational and professional mentorship. After relocating to Dallas, TX in 2023, Caitly transitioned to the role of Coordinator for the Office of the CEO and the President with the All Stars Project (ASP). There she produced top-level donor events and board meetings and important digital communications about major partnerships and organizational announcements. While studying full time for her MBA with Southern Methodist University, Caitly continues to work with and volunteer for ASP in distinct functions. As a part of her MBA program experience, Caitly also secured a summer internship with Bank of America within their Global Treasury and Merchant Operations Department.

Why I’m Serving on the Alumni Board of Directors:
I am serving on the Alumni Board of Directors to give back to a community and institution that nourished my development abundantly. Since attending Wheaton changed the trajectory of my life forever, I want to be a part of the decision makers that help create a richer experience for future generations of Wheaties. Additionally, I aim to enhance my servant leadership skills, particularly in strategy and collaboration with other thought leaders, through my experience serving on the Alumni Board of Directors.
