A Taste of Versailles, Part I

Gabby vacuuming at Museum Textile Services.

Thanks to an Adams Fellowship, Gabby Ferreira, Class of 2012, spent her post-graduation summer interning with Museum Textile Services in Andover, MA. You can read about her internship, during which she helped conserve an 18th century French noblewoman’s costume (34.085) from the Permanent Collection on the MTS blog. The costume was purchased from the Edgar L. Ashley Collection with funds from the Carnegie Foundation and is attributed to the Duchess du Choiseul. The conservation treatment was made possible through the Ann H. Murray Art Conservation Fund thanks to donations from the Friends of Art and Blake Funston, Class of 2012.
