Cork singer Seán Ó Sé’s long and illustrious career has touched all bases in the Irish music business from traditional folk music to variety concerts, céilí band, storytelling, and cabaret. Seán Ó Sé: A Life in Song and Story explores his musical life within the contexts of his deep attachment to the Irish language, the west of Ireland and his passion for his teaching career in Cork City. The film, produced and directed by Professor of Music Matthew Allen, features live performances and interviews with longtime associates from the worlds of music and education. The screening of the film will be followed by a brief performance by Seán Ó Sé, voice, and Matthew Allen, guitar.
