Encore, encore!
Do you have an old band or string instrument sitting in your attic, silent and unloved? Why not give it a chance for an encore by donating it to Wheaton?
Too often, Wheaton students who want to play in one of the college’s performance groups do not have instruments of their own, and for many, a rental is unaffordable. The Music Department faculty wants to extend performance opportunities to as many students as possible by building a collection of instruments to lend. Your secondhand woodwind, brass, or string instrument in good working order will resound once more in the hands of a talented Wheaton student.
If you have an instrument to donate, please give it a tune-up at your local repair shop and ship it (or bring it) to Ann Sears, Professor of Music, Wheaton College, 26 E. Main St., Norton, MA 02766. The students who play in our large instrumental ensembles, the Southeastern Massachusetts Wind Symphony and the Great Woods Chamber Orchestra are making beautiful music together, and they welcome your support.
Questions? Contact Ann Sears at (508) 286-3592 or [email protected].
Please note: All instruments must be in good working order. Wheaton would be pleased to provide a receipt for tax purposes; however, appraisals are the responsibility of the donor.
