The scientist observes the world up close, collecting data that gets translated into knowable truths. Can an artist have the same rigorous eye as a scientist? Can data be translated into visual art? As these artists will demonstrate, the answer is “yes.” Using scientific methodologies, mathematical principles, and data translation, these artists probe the natural world in both playful and poignant ways.
