Nature Talks Back

August 24–October 5, 2013
Beard & Weil Galleries, Watson Fine Arts

In recognition of Wheaton’s new award-winning Mars Center for Science and Technology, Nature Talks Back kicks off a four-part series of exhibitions in the Beard and Weil Galleries that explore the connections between science and art. Each exhibition will showcase the work of artists who draw from science in their content, process, and/or methodologies.

Through sculpture, video, photography, and installation, Nature Talks Back examines the age-old  tension between culture and nature. Why do we think of nature as posed against industry and culture? Does there need to be an either/or? Where is the balance?
