Johannesburg in Print

This exhibition features a selection of contemporary works on paper made by artists working at the David Krut Workshop (DKW) in Johannesburg, South Africa. Works from seven artists will be on view: Deborah Bell, Endale Desalegn, Faith47, Locust Jones, Vusi Khumalo, Senzo Shabangu and Diane Victor. Established in 2002, DKW is now situated at Arts on Main in the Maboneng Precinct in downtown Johannesburg, the creative hub of the city’s new arts neighborhood. The mission of DKW is to provide a professional facility for artistic collaboration, and both emerging and established artists are regularly invited to work with DKW Master Printer, Jillian Ross, and her team of highly skilled printmakers.

David Krut Projects, based in New York, Johannesburg, and Cape Town is an alternative arts institution dedicated to encouraging an awareness of and careers in the arts and related literature and media, and to promoting contemporary culture in a dynamic, collaborative environment.

All works in the exhibition were selected from the collection at David Krut Projects, NY.
