What Happens When
April 9-12 & 16-19, 2015
Written by Charlotte Meehan, directed by Stephanie Burlington Daniels
Meehan developed this project with nine students enrolled in her course “Devising Theatre for Social Change.” The play is a multimedia montage of the before-and-after moments of campus sexual encounters, alternating between early childhood and present day to shed light on the misunderstandings that persist, the discussion that needs to increase, and the violence that must stop. This project is sponsored in part by a grant awarded by the Office of Violence Against Women, U.S. Department of Justice. For ticket information and reservations ($10 general, $5 faculty, staff & seniors, Wheaton students free), contact the Watson Box Office at 508-286-3575 or by email at [email protected].
Weber Theatre, Watson Fine Arts, 8:00 p.m. (4/12 & 4/19—2:00 p.m.)
