April 10, 2013
Gina Borromeo, Wheaton Class of 1984, and Curator of Ancient Art at the RISD Museum in Providence, will discuss her most recent curatorial project: a test gallery in preparation for the re-installation of the museum’s Egyptian collection. Borromeo’s talk will be both an insider’s look into how curators conceive, research, and design exhibitions, and a sneak peek at the RISD installation “Made for Eternity,” which opened on March 15, 2013.
Ellison Lecture, Watson Fine Arts 5:30pm
A reception with Ms. Borromeo will be held immediately following the lecture in the Haas Concourse & Lobby.
