Jenny Bourgoin ’11
Between my sophomore and junior years, I spent the summer in Washington D.C. interning for the Middle East Institute. As a library intern, I wrote a book review, helped set up events, and made an annotated bibliography of books relating to Turkey. The interns took field trips to various nonprofits and governmental organizations in order to learn about how D.C. really works. We also met with former ambassadors and other Middle East scholars.
