Aaron Bos-Lun ’12

During the of Summer 2010, Bos-Lun lived in Monterey, California, pursuing a fellowship at the Monterey Institute of International Studies in their Center for Nonproliferation Studies. Working under an Institute staff member, he did an independent research project on the threat perceptions of nuclear terrorism in post-9/11 America.

The previous summer he interned at The Amy Biehl Foundation Trust in Cape Town, South Africa, a youth development NGO contributing to the “new South Africa.” The mission of the Amy Biehl Foundation is to “weave a barrier” against violence by providing opportunities to young people. They seek to empower children and youth in Cape Town’s townships by running a number of youth development programs, ranging from arts to sports to literacy assistance to HIV/AIDS peer education. Bos-Lun returns to this internship in 2011.
