Fall Fest and Family & Friends Weekend celebrated

The college hosted its annual Fall Fest and Family & Friends Weekend on October 2 & 3, where hundreds of alumni celebrated together and students welcomed family members to campus.

On Friday, Family & Friends Weekend activities began with the annual White Coat Ceremony, where 61 members of the nursing program’s Class of ’29 received their white coats, followed by an experiential learning showcase in the Life and Career Design Institute. At a late afternoon ARTS quad party, guests learned about Arts@Wheaton while enjoying music and treats from food truck vendors. The day concluded with a Bingo night in Emerson Hall, sponsored by Wheaton Events Board, as lucky winners earned prizes and gear from the bookstore.

On Saturday, guests attended a community barbecue with lawn games and kids activities, followed by alumni games and gatherings for men’s and women’s lacrosse, softball, men’s and women’s swimming and diving, men’s basketball and men’s volleyball. Lyons fans also cheered on the field hockey team’s 2-1 win over Mount Holyoke College. Other events included a information session to guide parents to partner with students a successful college experience, a Phi Beta Kappa induction ceremony, where newly elected students were welcomed into America’s most prestigious honors society, and a Toy Story 5 movie night.
