Snow alert: College offices closing at noon today
Wheaton College plans to close offices today, Monday, Feb. 1, 2021, at noon due to the anticipated winter storm that is forecast to bring heavy wet snow and high wind gusts to the region.
Spring semester check-in will remain open for students until 5:30 p.m. for students who want to continue with their move-in plans today. We encourage you to reconsider your travel plans for today with the anticipated poor travel conditions. If you need to reschedule your arrival appointment for any reason, please cancel your appointment in the CoVerified app and reschedule for tomorrow or Wednesday. Check-in will continue on Tuesday, February 2, from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and again on Wednesday, February 3, from noon to 3 p.m.
Travel could be very difficult and hazardous conditions could impact the commute for those coming to campus. Please take care and be safe on the roads and as you walk about the campus.
We will be monitoring the storm overnight and will communicate by 6 a.m. tomorrow if operations will change for Tuesday, Feb. 2.
In departments that provide essential services, supervisors are responsible for coordinating schedules so that services continue. Non-essential personnel should not report for the second and third shift today.
