Turning Everyday Materials Into Art
November 15, 2013
Learn how to construct 3D works or art using commonplace materials—including wire, yearn, screen, and fishing line—and traditional handiwork techniques, such as knitting, felting and crochet. Artist Jodi Colella, whose work is currently on view in Wheaton’s Beard & Weil Galleries, will present slides of her work, show samples, and provide some quick demos to teach you the potential of these low-tech approaches to making art.
This program is free and open to the Wheaton community. No experience necessary. Materials will be provided. Feel free to bring your lunch. Beverages will be served.
Limited spaces available. Please RSVP to Michele L’Heureux at [email protected] by November 13.
