Bower has been drawing the landscape for over 20 years. Living for years at the edge of the sea, she was deeply affected by the experience of light and atmosphere—of the sky/sea relationship. Moving inland, towards the woods, she has been drawn more directly to form the shapes of trees, the calligraphy of interwoven branches or bursts of light piercing the webbing of the forest ceiling.
