Kries won a 2010 Tony Award for Best Actor in a Musical for his role as Jerry Lee Lewis in the Broadway hit Million Dollar Quartet. He is also an OUTMusic Award winner for songs featured on The Vampire Diaries, Sons of Anarchy and The Apprentice.
