Political Science and Pop Culture

Prof. Nick Dorzweiler recently published an article, entitled “Popular Culture in (and out of) American Political Science: A Concise Critical History, 1858 to 1950”, in the journal History of the Human Sciences 30.1.

“Historically, American political science has rarely engaged popular culture as a central topic of study, despite the domain’s outsized influence in American community life,” Prof. Dorzweiler states in the article, which discusses the inclusion and lack thereof of discussions of popular culture and life in the works of prominent early American political scientists.
