Jacques Brel à Wheaton College
After a decade of success with performances in Japan, Russia, and Morocco, as well as a 26-month run in Paris, André Nerman and his troupe recently returned to Wheaton with “Jacques Brel ou l’Impossible rêve,” featuring Mr. Nerman (voice, guitar), Nelly Anne Rabas (voice), and Laurent Clergeau (piano). Brel (1929-1978) is a towering figure of chanson and Nerman’s company provided a rare opportunity to hear his best-known songs as he wrote them, in French.
